HousingLand: Housing sites in the greater Dublin area continue to come on the market with two available this week - one for 39 apartments in Artane, Dublin 5, and another for up to 20 houses at Loughlinstown. CB Richard Ellis Gunne is handling both sales.

The agency is quoting a guide price of over €4 million for the site at Brookwood Grove, Gracefield Court in Artane, which goes to auction on November 30th. It has planning permission for 12 one-bedroom apartments, 26 two-bedroom units and one three-bedroom home along with 63 car-parking spaces.

The plot of 0.24 of a hectare (0.6 of an acre) has frontage on to Brookwood Grove and is located close to Our Lady of Mercy Church.

Meanwhile, the Eastern Regional Health Authority is selling a site of one hectare (2.47 acres) of housing land at Loughlinstown, Co Dublin, by tender.

Though the agent is not providing a guide price, the site is likely to fetch between €1.5 million and €2 million when it goes to tender on November 30th. The land occupies a high profile location adjacent to the Silver Tassie bar, off the N11. It also adjoins Cherrywood Science and Technology Park and St Columcille's Hospital.

Though the site is essentially zoned for housing, the planners will also consider a number of other options including a caravan park, nursery school, hotel, health centre, recreational facility, garage or neighbourhood shopping.

Gunne says a "medium density" housing development is likely to be approved which will probably vary between 15 and 20 houses.
