A building company director has rejected claims by National Irish Bank that she is liable for a guarantee on €10 million loans to the company relating to lands at Carrickmines, Co Dublin.

Bridget Dunne-Keaveney, who with her husband Michael Keaveney is a director of Rockridge Developments Ltd, claims she is not liable for loans made to Rockridge that remain unpaid.

Ms Keaveney signed a guarantee related to loans provided to the company in 2006 and provided security via an investment property held in her name in Lucan. She claims the bank’s recourse is confined to that property.

The judge required Ms Keaveney to provide the bank with documents relating to the retention of Matheson Ormsby Prentice solicitors in relation to her and/or her husband’s entering into the guarantee, plus all documents relating to her intention relating to her consent to provide a guarantee.
