American Airlines to decide on jobs

Staff at the American Airlines operation in Dublin, which employs 260 people, have been told that a decision on lay offs is likely to be announced in the coming weeks. The Dublin operation handles reservations and customer services for most of Europe and has been extremely busy since the terrorist attacks in the US. American Airlines has announced it is to shed 20,000 jobs worldwide.
