Glanbia acquires US firm for €50m

Glanbia has acquired US dietary beverage firm Aseptic Solutions for €50 million.

The Irish food group said the acquisition was funded through its existing banking facilities.

Founded in 2004, Aseptic Solutions manufactures nutritional and dietary beverages including vitamin shots, protein shakes and natural fruit juices.

The business employs 175 staff at its base in Corona, California.

In a statement, Glanbia said the acquisition was in line with its nutritionals growth strategy and will strengthen its nutritional ingredient technologies division.

“Aseptic Solutions capability is focused on key high growth trends in nutritional markets for sustainable, natural foods with nutrient integrity,” it said.

“The acquisition enhances the Glanbia portfolio by complementing and enhancing existing ingredient solution capabilities.”
