New teacher training and professional development in Ireland

Coventry University’s National Institute of Teaching and Education (NITE) is coming to Ireland. Meet us at Brooks Hotel in Dublin on Thursday, May 18th at 5pm to find out more. Book at www.coventry.ac.uk/nite

Designed and delivered by sector-leading educationalists, school leaders and teachers, our online master’s degrees in education complement and add value to your role and responsibilities in school. Tuition fees start from £4,250 (about €4,896), and a master’s can be gained in one academic year, depending on accreditation of any prior learning. Specialist master’s study routes include Educational Leadership, Developing Teaching, Mentoring and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

We are also eager to reach out to school leaders and experienced teachers in Ireland who may be interested in working with us alongside their positions in schools. This could be in conducting assessments of our trainee teachers on placement or contributing in a mentoring capacity to new teachers or new school leaders.

For trainee teachers thinking of training in England, our PGCE allows you to remain in Ireland for the entirety of the course. You will gain exactly the same qualification as you would receive in England (PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status), and our course costs only £7,950 (about €9,157). Studied over one academic year (or two if you wish to study part-time), you can begin in September, January or April. You can also be employed in a school while you study for the course (eg as a teaching assistant or special needs assistant) or be a full-time student on placement in school.

Join us at our information evening on Thursday, May 18th from 5-7pm at the Brooks Hotel in Dublin and find out about what we can offer you and/or your school. Refreshments from 5pm, and the presentations begin at 5:30pm. Spaces are still available but numbers are limited, so please book your place to avoid disappointment. Visit www.coventry.ac.uk/nite
