Irish Logistics and Transport Community celebrates achievements and showcases progress and innovations

As leading players in the Logistics and Transport sector gathered to showcase their accomplishments and network at the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards 2023, they also battled for one of the Awards’ 19, prestigious trophies

Now in their 13th year, the Awards highlight the individuals, teams and organisations who drive the economy forward and deliver outstanding results.

The winners were announced during a live awards ceremony held at The Crowne Plaza, Santry, Dublin, on March 9th, 2023. The awards sponsored by Platinum Sponsor, Allied Irish Banks; Gold Sponsors, Driving Force Ireland (Recruitment & Training), ISM Recruitment & Training, AutoStore, and Road Safety Authority; and supported by Amárach Research.

Notable winners on the night included Danny Geoghegan, recipient of the ‘Logistics & Transport Leader 2023′ Award, and Ace Express Freight who took the Grand Prix, ‘Overall Logistics & Transport Excellence Award’.

Joey Whelan, Director of AIB Corporate Banking said, “AIB recognises the importance of the sector to the wider economy and its key role to play in delivering on Ireland’s sustainability targets. The awards night was a fantastic opportunity to meet with so many excellent companies and experience their energy and enthusiasm first hand.”

Another winner was Westmond Logistics. Their Customs & Operations Manager, Mark Anderson, said, “The transport and logistics sector is often unrecognised for the crucial role it plays in society. It needs to be celebrated, and these awards spotlight the best in the industry.”

Joining other finalists in the shortlist was Easy2Go Logistics, whose Marketing Manager, Jerry Liu, said, “Easy2Go Logistics proves that excellence in warehousing is not just a goal but a standard that can be achieved. Their commitment to flexible, efficient and reliable logistics solutions has earned them a well-deserved place among the finalists at the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards 2023.”

Winners South Coast Logistics where represented at the Awards by Commercial Director, Richie O’Flynn who said: “We are thrilled and honoured that South Coast has been awarded with the prestigious Logistics & Transport SME Company of the Year award at the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards. It is a remarkable accomplishment for our entire team and a testament to their hard work and dedication.”

Another winner was Clare Distribution Services. Amand Carroll, Human Resources Manager said: “What an honour for CDS to be recognised amongst some of the most exceptional talent in the industry. To be named as Logistics and Transport Team of the Year is a fantastic achievement that we could not be prouder of.”
