The IRFU and the Irish Sports Council yesterday jointly announced that the Irish Sport Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel had determined that Ulster's Rowan Frost had committed an anti-doping violation.

The panel found that, contrary to Article 2.1 of the anti-doping rules, a prohibited substance or its metabolite, cannabis, was found in a sample of the player's urine collected during in-competition testing at the Ulster versus Leinster Celtic League match at Donnybrook on October 1st, 2005.

Subject to his right to appeal within 14 days, Frost has been suspended for two months from October 19th

It was also reported that Frost was severely reprimanded and warned by the panel as to his future conduct.

The hearing was held under Article 8 (Disciplinary Process) of the Irish anti-doping rules.
