Police officers from Yorkshire are to fly to Copenhagen on Monday after intelligence reports suggested that Leeds United fans were planning to cause trouble in the city when Arsenal take on Galatasaray in next Wednesday's UEFA Cup final.

The killing of two Leeds fans in Istanbul last month, the night before their team played Galatasaray in the semi-final, has led to fears that English and Turkish fans might clash in the run-up to the final next week.

Danish police have been warned by their British counterparts that some Leeds fans might cause trouble to avenge the deaths. Metropolitan police officers will also be in the city after claims by Arsenal that it knew of London hooligans planning to travel.
