AIRTRICITY PREMIER DIVISION/Bohemians 1 St Patrick's Ath 1:DAVE MULCAHY struck in the second minute of injury-time to snatch a point for St Patrick's Athletic at Dalymount Park and keep them top of the table.

Bohemians looked to be heading for all three points after Owen Heary headed them in front on four minutes but Mulcahy pounced when Derek Doyle’s cross was knocked into his path to smash a fierce shot past Bohemians goalkeeper Barry Murphy.

Bohemians went ahead when Heary got on the end of Killian Brennan’s cross from the right flank and directed a powerful header past St Patrick’s goalkeeper Gary Rogers.

A good passage of Bohemians play on 28 minutes culminated in Paul Keegan crashing a low drive on target but St Patrick’s defender Conor Kenna made the vital intervention and blocked the chance.

On 36 minutes, Lynch opted to slot a free-kick from the left across to Derek Pender in the centre but with plenty of options available in the box, Pender opted to shoot from about 25 yards out and sent his effort high and wide.

Bohemians began the second half well, though two Brennan free kicks on 54 and 56 minutes came to nothing.

Heary came to the rescue for Bohemians on 57 minutes when he cleared from Daniel North.

Heary was involved again on 70 minutes when he got in the way of Shane Guthrie inside the Bohemians area, forcing the St Patrick’s man into sending his effort wide.

The St Patrick’s pressure continued and Stuart Byrne got his head to a Pender cross on 72 minutes but couldn’t get enough power on it trouble Murphy.

Lynch had a crack on goal on 77 minutes but his shot took a deflection off Keegan and Murphy claimed the loose ball.

St Patrick’s persevered and Mulcahy netted his fourth goal in three games in injury-time.
