IRISH INTERNATIONAL Denis Leamy looks set to become the latest Munster player forced to retire because of injury.

It is expected his retirement will be confirmed today after the 30-year old last week saw a specialist in a bid to save his career.

The Tipperary native struggled to recover from a serious hip injury which brought his season to a halt in January when he had to go for an operation.

The retirement of the backrower from Cashel would be the latest blow to Munster after a dreadful season which has also seen them lose the likes of experienced warriors Jerry Flannery and David Wallace to injury, while Mick O’Driscoll also announced his retirement a few weeks ago.
