He's affectionately known as "Lumpy" to his supporters but one suspects the powers-that-be at Barnet could think of another name for Irish B international striker Sean Devine these days.

In 22 games for the third division side this season he scored just one goal, so they decided to loan him out to second division Wycombe Wanderers last month for the rest of the season. His record for them so far? Four goals in four games, two against Macclesfield (in a 3-1 win) on Saturday. It was Wycombe's third win in their last four games and having seemed doomed to relegation (they were bottom of the table when Devine arrived) they now have a half decent chance of survival (they're up to fourth from bottom). Meanwhile Barnet keep dropping points (11 from their last seven games) and are now 15th in third division. You know what they need? A goalscorer.

In the first division David Kelly gave Tranmere the lead away to Watford but they went on to lose 2-1 while in Scotland Irish under-21 defender David Worrell made his debut for Dundee United (coming on as a sub in their 3-0 home defeat by Motherwell) after moving from Blackburn Rovers last week.
