Racing News/Clonmel preview: The Royal Ascot Group One races have proved elusive for the Aidan O'Brien team but Spartacus could reverse the trend in Sunday's Grand Prix de Paris

Last season's double Group One winner hasn't raced this season but is one of three Ballydoyle-trained colts left in at Longchamp.

Alberto Giacometti and Balestrini also figure among the entries but O'Brien has indicated Spartacus is a likely runner in the 10-furlong contest.

The Epsom Derby ninth and Dante-winner Magestretti, who carries the Michael Tabor colours, is also a possible starter.

O'Brien's name is next to the four-year-old Dromadaire in the 10-furlong maiden at Clonmel this evening but the Danehill Dancer filly will do well to even win this moderate contest.

Sauntering is upped to the mile and a half of the handicap and after a third to stable companion Maigue Princess at Gowran, the Jim Bolger horse could be a bet.

What does look a bet is Accordion Etoile in the maiden hurdle. Paul Nolan's horse won his bumper on the course and looks a type to win at a better level than this.

Burnt Out ran fifth to Blazing Liss at the Punchestown festival and could be worth an interest in the bumper.

Noel Meade runs both Active Member and Greco in the Beginners Chase but Maria Pia ran a good race on fast going at Wexford and could be a reasonable alternative.
