European Round-up/ SPAIN: Villarreal claimed their first ever place in the Champions League and sent Ian Harte's club, Levante, down to the second division when they came from behind to secure an emphatic 4-1 win at the Madrigal yesterday.

Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan completed a memorable night for Villarreal when he struck twice to overtake Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o and become the leading marksman in Spain with a total of 25 goals this season.

ITALY: Romanian forward Adrian Mutu made his debut for Juventus yesterday, returning to action after a seven-month ban from the game following a positive test for cocaine while a Chelsea player.

Mutu came on as a 57th-minute substitute for the Italian champions in their final game of the season against Cagliari, which the Turin side won 4-2.

The Romanian international signed a five-year deal with Juventus in January after he was sacked by Chelsea following the positive test in October but until yesterday he has been allowed only to train with Fabio Capello's side.
