Mr Jim Fitzharris has been appointed assistant secretary of the Jefferson Smurfit Group. Mr Fitzharris, who is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin joined the group secretarial department in 1988. He was most recently group secretarial manager. Before he joined Smurfit Mr Fitzharris was assistant principal in the Department of Labour.
