Those politicians, of administrations both past and present who have had within their gift the power to enact legislation which would have gone a long way towards making Veronica's investigations unnecessary, have the neck that only politicians possess to be anywhere near that terribly sad ceremony. They should have been in hiding.

How often have we seen pictures of distraught parents being restrained by the gardai from evicting drug dealers from their local environment. Over and over we hear from the very same politicians that the public must not take the law into their own hands. What law? There is no law.

Drug traffickers, paedophiles pornographers all have a free ride to do almost what they will. The offenders are known to the gardai, and the law prevents their apprehension.
