Sir, - Last week we spent a very pleasant day exploring Cork. We found the people of the city warm and very friendly and we enjoyed a fine lunch in the Crawford Gallery. We decided to finish our day visiting the Shandon Bells and strolled back to the city centre along the banks of the "lovely Lee". To our horror we found ourselves confronted with raw sewage floating by!
What a sad end to such a lovely day. Yours, etc.,
