Sir, - With reference to your "Tackling the Traffic" series, which I read with great interest, I was surprised and disappointed to learn recently that bicycles are not allowed on the DART. I have recently returned from New York City where bicycles are allowed on the subway and commuter trains. I can certainly understand why bicycles are not allowed during the main commuting hours, but why can't they be taken on trains at other times?
Allowing bikes on the DART would be a "no cost" way of getting a few more cars off the road. - Yours, etc.,
