Sir, – Now that the findings in the De Silva report have established that UK “state agents” were in collusion with the murder of solicitor Pat Finucane on February 12th, 1989, surely now the proper forum to bring those responsible for this atrocity to justice is the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg?
Mr Finucane had the “right to life” under Article 2 of the convention. It was a right which should have been protected by law and clearly was not. The Finucane family have waited long enough for justice. – Yours, etc,
