A Chara, - Is it any wonder that the Orange Order will not speak to the residents of Garvaghy Road when the church which reflects the spiritual beliefs of many Orangemen will not even invite a Catholic priest to witness the activities at their General Assembly? As a practising Catholic, I take this attitude towards the majority church of the Irish people, as a gratuitous insult to my religion and beliefs.

The stance of the new Presbyterian Moderator, viz a viz the Catholic Mass, reflects that bigotry which lies at the heart of the northern troubles, and of the refusal of the Orange Order to accept Irish Catholic nationalists as deserving equality of respect, as fellow Christians. - Le meas, Liam O GEibheannaigh,
