Sir, - Al Byrne (Rite and Reason, August 2nd) today is probably right when he suggests that the failure to explain "the sacred mystery of transubstantiation" may be one reason why so many folk have stopped going to Mass.
If every Catholic could only be led to accept and believe in this doctrine, our churches would not be able to hold the throngs of Sunday Mass-goers! - Yours, etc.,
