Madam, - I am incensed by Father Tom Ingoldsby's comments of June 25th. Although there is some merit in what he is saying, this is undermined by his blatantly sexist comment: "It is doubly sad that this propaganda comes from a woman. Women should be the guardians of purity of the young."
Why, may I ask, should women be the guardians of purity? Why should women have to shoulder that responsibility? Surely in this day and age even the Church has heard of equality? - Yours, etc.,
