Sir, - For one reason or another, the electorate has rejected certain candidates. Would the new government please cease the obnoxious practice of bringing such people into the Seanad or other positions in the political ambit?
We rejected them; please respect our decisions at the polling booths. It is just so much more political sleaze to see rejects becoming the first appointed to the higher house. - Yours, etc.,
