Sir, – As predicted, the no confidence vote on the Minister for Justice failed in the Dáil (News, December 5th). Sinn Féin seems to prefer putting their energies into such stunts rather than trying to come up with solutions to the crises that occur in our society. Its style of discourse is aggressive and confrontational. No one would deny that Dublin has become less safe or that homelessness is at unacceptable levels, but political point-scoring won’t help in trying to find lasting solutions and certainly won’t go unnoticed by the voters. – Yours, etc,
MARY BARRETT,
Dublin 5.
