A 49 year-old workman has died in hospital in Derry following an accident at a building site in the city. The man died after sustaining injuries when a staircase collapsed at the site.
He was brought to hospital where he died later.
It is understood the man fell 100 feet when the staircase collapsed. The accident happened at Orchard Street in Derry City at around 11.30 am.
