Two teenage boys were badly injured at a loyalist bonfire in Co Antrim last night.

Two teenage boys were badly injured at a loyalist bonfire in Co Antrim last night.

The incident happened in a hut on the Drumtara Estate in Ballymena shortly before midnight.

Two 14-year-old boys were found with severe burns and rushed to hospital. One child was transferred to Belfast for treatment for major burns to his lower body. The second boy has less serious burns on his arms.

A PSNI spokeswoman said they are investigating the incident.
