The Irish Travel Agents' Association said yesterday it was confident it could proceed with legal action to prevent Ryanair from cutting its members' commission. Ryanair announced in March it was reducing commission paid to travel agents from 9 per cent to 7.5 per cent.

At an extraordinary general meeting in Dublin, more than 250 ITAA delegates were told the association would initiate legal action "in the next couple of weeks".
