The teenager appeared in court in Lisburn today to face a series of counts in relation to the sex attack of an American student in Colin Glen Forest Park on the outskirts of Belfast last Saturday.

The victim, who is in her early 20s, had been out for a walk when a youth confronted her in broad daylight and dragged her into the bushes.

Around 300 people gathered at the scene of the attack yesterday to show solidarity with the young victim.

Men, women and children from the local community and beyond held a rally in the car park before marching through the park.
