Diyarbakir - A group of rebels sent by the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) yesterday surrendered to Turkish forces at Semdinli on Turkey's borders with Iran and Iraq, the PKK high command and Turkish authorities announced.

Turkish authorities in the regional capital of Diyarbakir said in a written statement that "eight terrorists surrendered to security forces with their weapons and applied for leniency under the Repentance Law."
