WITH Matilda and 101 Dalmatians opening before Christmas, young cinema goers will have lots to entertain them cinema wise, but according to teacher and musician Padraigin Ni Uallachain, children are not particularly well served by the music industry. So she got together with Len Graham and Garry O Briain to produce an album which features 28 Irish children's songs sung in English.

It's a Gael Linn album called "When I Was Young and it was launched with great verve at a session at the Harcourt Hotel on Monday night. Doireann Ni Bhriain, who's still packing away the files from L'imaginaire Irlandais, was there she has decided not toe rush back to her job in RTE immediately and has taken extended leave until April.
