Tourism and sport will be boosted by the Northern Ireland agreement, the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation, Dr McDaid, has said. He envisaged a greater role for Belfast Airport as a gateway to the northwest, he added. "Indeed the scenic coastline areas in north Antrim, Derry, Donegal and Sligo could be sold as a package."

In sport, "we can explore areas in which sports facilities as well as ideas might be shared to improve access to sport and expand existing sporting horizons, North and South."
