A DELEGATION of Fianna Fail MEPs will today visit Ms Roisin McAliskey, who is six months pregnant and accused of the IRA bombing of a British army barracks in Germany, to compile a report on her conditions at Holloway prison for the European Parliament.

Mr Niall Andrews, Mr Pat the Cope Gallagher and Mr Brian Crowley also intend to visit republican prisoners at Belmarsh jail, including Mr Danny McNamee who was convicted of the IRA Hyde Park bombing but who protests his innocence.

Speaking at Heathrow Airport yesterday, Mr Andrews said the delegation was "particularly upset" about Ms McAliskey's "delicate" health.

"I don't accept that she is being treated well. Her pregnancy is well advanced and her history of bad health is worrying", he said.
