The chairman of construction group McInerney Holdings  is to retire after the group's AGM on May 12th, it was announced this morning.

Mr Roy Ferris is to be replaced by Greencore chairman and former Glanbia chief executive Mr Ned Sullivan, who already acts as a director of McInerney Holdings.

The managing director of McInerney Holdings, Mr Barry O'Connor, said Mr Ferris had been "a tremendous asset" to the board.

Mr Ferris has been chairman of the company for 12 years.
