A man (28) has appeared before a special sitting of the district court in Tralee this afternoon in connection with the death of a man in the town yesterday.
Gardaí have opened a murder investigation after the man died following a stabbing.
The incident happened at about 7pm in the Racecourse Lawn area during a First Holy Communion celebration.
The Polish victim (32) was taken to Kerry General Hospital, but he was pronounced dead at 9.55am today.

The man who appeared in court this afternoon was arrested a short time after the incident. It is believed the two men were known to each other.
He was charged with assault causing serious harm and was remanded in custody.
