A 78-year-old man appeared in court at Portarlington, Co Laois, yesterday to face 33 charges of indecent assault and two of attempted buggery between 1966 and 1969 at a national school in the Midlands. The allegations relate to six boys.
Judge Mary Martin remanded the defendant on bail to Portarlington District Court on October 6th, when the book of evidence will be served.
