A man in his 30s has died following a house fire in Enniskillen in the early hours of this morning.

A man in his 30s has died following a house fire in Enniskillen in the early hours of this morning.

A second man in his 30s and a couple in their 60s were taken to hospital suffering from shock and smoke inhalation following the blaze at Derryvullen Road, Tamalagh, which was reported to the emergency services at about 1.40am. The woman also sustained serious injuried relating to the fire.

Six police officers and members of the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Services were involved in rescuing the injured people from the blaze.

Fire service group commander Eamonn Gallagher said crews had removed the dead man from a
first-floor bedroom.

He said the cause of the blaze was still being investigated but at this stage there was no suggestion of suspicious circumstances.

Firemen had rescued a woman through a first-floor bedroom window and two others were outside the house when crews from Enniskillen and Lisnaskea arrived.

"This will be a police-led investigation and they will be trying to determine the cause of the fire," he added.

Further investigation will be carried out this morning.
