Irish team for European junior bridge championship is chosen

The 17th European junior bridge team championship will be played in Antalya, Turkey, from July 6th to 16th.

The Irish squad, sponsored by Allfinanz, is - T. MacCormac, B. MacKenzie (Dublin); J. Martin (Kilkenny), S. Bavalia (Belfast); D. Nolan, A. Barton (Dublin); H. Dowling-Long (non-playing captain); R. King (coach).

The Worldwide simultaneous pairs may be played on June 2nd or 3rd. Clubs wishing to participate should contact Paul Porteous at (01) 492-9666.

The Yeats Country congress will take place in the Sligo Park Hotel from May 19th to 21st. Madge O'Kennedy at (071) 60406, will accept entries and supply details about hotel and guesthouse accommodation.
