Irish scholar to be honoured

A centenary commemoration of Sean Pleimoon, an Irish scholar who died in 1896, will take place at 2.30 p.m

A centenary commemoration of Sean Pleimoon, an Irish scholar who died in 1896, will take place at 2.30 p.m. on Friday at Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin, where a Celtic cross will be unveiled by Canon Padraig O Fiannachta of Dingle, Co Kerry, at the scholar's grave.

Mr Niochlas Mac Craith will an oration which will be by a reception and exhibition the scholar's work at the offices of Bord na Gaeilge at 4 p.m.
