A motorcyclist has died after an road incident this evening in Greystones.

The biker came off his motorcycle at about 6.25pm on the Farrenkelly Road. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

No other vehicle is thought to have been involved.

The road was closed to facilitate a Garda forensic collision examination. Local diversions were put in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, and anyone with information is asked to contact them at Greystones Garda station on 01 6665800, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666111, or any Garda station.
