A six year old girl who was a passenger in her mother's car, suffered significant injuries in a head on collision although she was wearing a seat belt, the High Court in Cork was told.
Janna Murphy, of Closest Road, Fairhill, Cork, sued through her grandmother, Margaret Griffin, her mother Delores and the driver of the other vehicle, Joseph Davis, Usanley, Cloyne, Co Cork. She was awarded £35,000 in a settlement which was approved by Mr Justice Vivian Lavan.
