Four men are being questioned following the seizure of six kilos of heroin with an estimated street value of €1.2 million in Palmerstown, Dublin.

The men, all of whom are in their 20s, were arrested after four cars were stopped by gardaí on the Kennelsfort Road shortly after 9pm last night.

The search was carried out as part of an operation involving the Garda Organised Crime Unit, the Garda National Drug Unit and the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

The four men are being held at Clondalkin and Ballyfermot Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Traffic) Act 1996.
