Farmers facing £13.5m levy bill

Dairy farmers have dramatically cut back milk production to avoid a huge superlevy bill. The latest figures show, however, that production is still 1 per cent over the level allowed by the EU, which will leave producers liable for fines of £13.5 million if output does not drop by the end of March.
