The British Council has notified E&L that the fees and income levels remain the same as 1998. All EU students who have applied to UCAS, the British central applications body, will get an EU2 form from the institution(s) to which they have applied (England and Wales). They complete just one of these forms and return it to the DFEE. The DFEE will then assess them for eligibility for help with fees. Apply as soon as possible. For Scottish colleges, apply as usual to the Student Awards Agency and for Northern Ireland apply to the appropriate education and library board.

Higher national certificates will be funded this year as well as degrees and higher national diplomas.
