The eagles are landing - not to mention the storks, cranes and pelicans

Only for bird lovers: A photo exhibition of Israel's 500 species of migratory birds is going on tour. Over the coming months it will visit Wexford, Cork, Kilkenny and Dublin as part of its world tour. From tomorrow until the end of November pictures of eagles, buzzards, pelicans, storks, cormorants, cranes and many other birds will be on view at the Migratory Birds Know No Boundaries exhibition in the Wexford Wildlife Centre. In January it will go to Kilkenny and in mid-February to Cork's Central Library. Then it will go to Dublin - at Enfo, St Andrew's Street. Admission is free thanks to Israel's tourist board and embassy.

Mid-term Jam Sessions:

Leaving and Junior Cert music students, especially in the Dublin area, are welcome to attend (at a cost of £2) a workshop this afternoon at the National Concert Hall in Dublin and study under the baton of Charles Hazelwood, conductor of the English Chamber Orchestra. They will learn about performing and improvising. They are encouraged to bring their own instruments, be they recorders, guitars, bassoons or violins, to the "jamming" session of the Mozart Symphony No 39.

Open Day:

An open day in Dublin on third-level options for second-level students with disabilities, will be hosted by TCD on Thursday, December 11th. It will be an opportunity to explore third-level options and to hear from third-level graduates with disabilities. Surfers United:

An open invitation to people who want to cruise the Internet has gone out from Arthouse Multimedia Centre for the Arts in Dublin's Temple Bar. The free invitation runs from now until Friday, November 14th. Online facilities will be available, as well as guidelines from author William Collins, who is in the process of "making" an online book called Ocean. Author's Visit:

Tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. the Central Library in Dublin's ILAC Centre tomorrow will welcome soccer fans from nine years of age upwards to meet Peter Regan, author of Urban Heroes, Teen Glory Young Champions.

On Friday at 11 a.m. Gerard Whelan, author of The Guns of Easter, which is shortlisted for the Bisto Book of the Year Award, will be in the library to meet children from eight years of age.
