The former secretary of the Department of Agriculture, Mr Michael Dowling, has been appointed a Visiting Professor at University College Cork, it was announced yesterday.
His primary teaching role will be on food policy within the Department of Food Economics at the college and he will also advise the faculty on overall policy development in relation to its role within the food industry.
