Perhaps the biggest windfarm project to be constructed in Ireland could proceed next month in Donegal. It will cost £13 million.

Donegal County Council has granted preliminary approval for the construction of the wind farm several miles from Barnesmore Gap, near Donegal town. Scottish Power proposes to erect 26 wind turbines at Keadew Upper.
