London - Churches were banned from using Citizens' Band radio to broadcast services to housebound parishioners.
A review of regulations by the British government's Radiocommunications Agency watchdog confirmed that a scheme run since last year by a number of Catholic churches to bring Mass to the sick and elderly was illegal. CB users in Derbyshire complained that their frequencies were being blocked by prayers.
