London - The British government yesterday ruled out legalising cannabis on doctors' prescription to patients suffering from debilitating conditions, saying there was no scientific evidence that the drug worked.
The Health Minister, Mr George Howarth, rejected proposals by a House of Lords committee that it should be authorised for medical use.
