Around 700 cannabis plants worth an estimated €240,000 were seized in Co Monaghan this morning.
The plants were found in the search of a house in Readuff, Loughmourne, Castleblayney.
It was carried out of by detectives from the Cavan-Monaghan Divisional Drug Unit and the Garda National Drug Unit as well as local officers from Shantonagh.
A man in his early 20s was arrested and is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act in Castleblaney Garda Station.
