MORE details of tomorrow's country house sale at Prospect House, Sallins, Co Kildare, to be conducted jointly by Town & Country and Jackson-Stops and McCabe: lots include a fine Regency mahogany two-pillar dining table (£4,000-£6,000); a set of 14 Victorian mahogany dining chairs (£5,000-£6,000); a pair of Victorian three-branch girandole wall mirrors (£2,000-£3,000); a Georgian slope-front bureau bookcase (£1,000-£1,200); and a pair of George III estate cabinets (£2,000-£3,000).
Prospect House was sold last December and its owner, Timothy Hennessy, is now moving abroad. This will heighten expectations of finding a bargain among the 200 or so lots on offer. Apart from the more important items listed above there will be plenty of Victorian tables and chests as well as wardrobes, desks, silver, plate and porcelain.
Lots will be on view today from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to noon.
