The National Chamber Choir's participation in the Cork International Choral Festival's Seminar on New Choral Music is an exception, as is the programme. It features new works commissioned for this year's seminar by Andrew Hamilton ( Everything is ridiculous) and Ezequiel Viñao, ( Beowulf, Scyld's Burial) and they get their debut performances in Cork on Friday. The rest of the programme, conducted by Paul Hillier, is of rarely-heard works by English composers. The seminars on the new works are on Saturday at the CIT Cork School of Music, at 10.30am and 2.30pm.
